Excitement in the ambiance

Young and old from all walks of life

With disabilities and varying physique

Streaming forward

Breathlessness

Determination not to stop

Gasping and panting

Maintaining pace

Perseverance and grit

Will power and tenacity

Steadfast doggedness

To complete

Crowds cheering

The roar of victory

Solace and gratitude

For the final steps  to the line  – “I AM A RF  ….I AM A RUN FINISHER!”

Inaugural activity

Never before done

Preparatory action

Advancing the cause

Raising awareness

Extensive invitations

From bashful self

To give generously

Facing aversion

with intended evasion

Remaining resolute

Children will not be shoeless

Strive for the cause

Unyielding and firm

Justice will prevail

Relentless in my circulars –  “I AM A FR …I AM A FUND RAISER!”

Leading others

Gathering the team to stay alongside

Nudging through example

Cheerfully audacious

” I AM A FUN RAISER , I AM A FUN FUND RAISER , I AM A FUN RACE FINISHER”
” I AM A FUN RF , FR ! ”
” I AM FUN BECAUSE I HAVE A FUND – an unlimited one from the FUN FUND PROVIDER ”

In writing this , the words from Hebrews 12 inspire me. I have literally experienced what it means to run  a race and finish it.  His story will be my story.
Hebrews 12 1-3 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!
